INFO

FOnline: Oregon is a single-player, Fallout-like adventure built on the FOnline engine.

Events in the game take place 10 years after the story known from Fallout 2 in an area called Oregon, north of the game world known from F2. The game world will be a bit connected to F2 by the appearance of some northern (in F2) locations like Klamath, Arroyo (New Arroyo), Toxic Caves, or the Abbey (a location cut from F2 but revived by the Restoration Project).

The goal is to bring to this harsh wasteland filled by tribes, cannibals, mutated beavers, brave trappers, and merciless bandits some dialogues, quests, and a story in good old Fallout style, but while keeping the dynamic, open world and modernity given to us by the FOnline engine.

The game will be playable in real-time and turn-based mode. Weapons and other items, perks, traits, and the environment will stay as close to the original as possible, but with adjustment to a different area and story. So, no APA armors, no Enclave, no BoS, also no modern cars, rainbow-colored armors, or other fancy things known from FOnline games. Also, no replication, just death/load/save.

The canon, timeline, and spirit established by classic Fallouts and the Fallout Bible are the base for FO: Oregon, even if these connections are not obvious and direct. Other further Fallout games or publications do not affect this project.

FOnline: Oregon is at a very early stage of development, but with a clear way of progress and some chance to be done. Of course, I can't be sure about the future; no one can. So many awesome Fallout and FOnline projects died, so we will see how it will go.

The first playable alpha version will be published as soon as possible, but it's hard to say when. It will be done just in time, not faster, not later.

Every published version will include the full FO: Oregon source and will be free to use for everyone who wants to make a single-player mod or other game on it.

Of course, FOnline: Oregon is a non-commercial/non-profit project.

That's all, folks, stay tuned!
